Our Client Process — From Requirements to Production

How LuSoft Studios builds custom web pages with clients: discovery, design, development, QA, and production deployment — step by step.

Every successful web project starts with clarity and ends with a confident launch. At LuSoft Studios, we've refined a five-phase process that keeps clients informed, reduces surprises, and delivers production-ready pages — whether it's a marketing site, product landing page, or full web application.

Here's exactly how we work with you, from the first conversation to go-live.

Phase 1 — Discovery & Requirements

Goal: Understand your business, users, and success criteria before writing a single line of code.

What happens

  • Kickoff call — We learn about your company, audience, competitors, and project goals
  • Requirements workshop — We document must-have features, nice-to-haves, and explicit out-of-scope items
  • Technical assessment — Domain setup, integrations (CRM, analytics, forms), hosting preferences, and multilingual needs
  • Scope document — A written summary of deliverables, timeline estimate, and milestones

What you receive

  • Project brief with defined scope
  • Sitemap and page structure proposal
  • Timeline with key milestones
  • Transparent estimate or fixed quote

Why it matters

Skipping discovery is the #1 cause of budget overruns. This phase aligns expectations and prevents "I thought that was included" moments later.

Typical duration: 3–7 days

Phase 2 — Design & UX

Goal: Define how the page looks, feels, and guides users — before development begins.

What happens

  • Wireframes — Low-fidelity layouts for key pages (home, services, contact, etc.)
  • Visual direction — Color palette, typography, and brand alignment based on your identity (or we help create one)
  • High-fidelity mockups — Polished designs for approval, including mobile and desktop breakpoints
  • Interaction notes — Animations, hover states, and scroll behavior documented for development

What you receive

  • Approved wireframes and mockups
  • Design system tokens (colors, fonts, spacing)
  • Mobile-responsive layouts for all core pages

Client involvement

You review designs at each stage and provide feedback in structured review rounds (typically 2 rounds included). We don't move to development until you sign off on the visual direction.

Typical duration: 1–2 weeks

Phase 3 — Development & Build-out

Goal: Turn approved designs into a fast, accessible, SEO-ready codebase.

What happens

  • Project setup — Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, version control (Git), and staging environment
  • Component development — Reusable UI components built to match designs pixel-accurately
  • Page implementation — Each page built with semantic HTML, responsive layouts, and animations
  • Integrations — Contact forms, analytics, email delivery (Resend), CMS hooks if needed
  • i18n setup — Bilingual support (EN/ES) if required
  • Weekly demos — You see progress every sprint with a live staging link

Our standards

  • Performance first — Optimized images, minimal JavaScript, strong Core Web Vitals
  • SEO built in — Metadata, structured data, sitemap, hreflang, Open Graph
  • Accessibility — Keyboard navigation, focus states, semantic markup, reduced-motion support
  • Clean code — Typed, linted, and structured for long-term maintainability

What you receive

  • Staging URL to review progress anytime
  • Weekly status updates with demo recordings or live walkthroughs
  • Incremental deliverables per sprint milestone

Typical duration: 2–6 weeks (depends on scope)

Phase 4 — QA, Review & Refinement

Goal: Catch issues before your users do.

What happens

  • Cross-browser testing — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge
  • Device testing — Mobile, tablet, desktop breakpoints
  • Performance audit — Lighthouse scores, load time verification
  • SEO check — Metadata, schema markup, sitemap, robots.txt validation
  • Client UAT — You test on staging and submit feedback in a structured review document
  • Bug fixes & polish — We address all critical and agreed-upon items before launch

What you receive

  • QA report with test results
  • Final staging review before production deploy
  • Changelog of everything built

Typical duration: 3–5 days

Phase 5 — Ship to Production

Goal: Launch confidently with monitoring and documentation in place.

What happens

  • Domain & DNS setup — We configure your custom domain (or guide your team through it)
  • Production deployment — Deploy to Vercel or your preferred host with SSL enabled
  • Environment variables — Contact form keys, analytics IDs, and secrets configured securely
  • Search Console setup — Sitemap submitted to Google Search Console (with your access)
  • Smoke testing — Final verification on production URL
  • Documentation handoff — How to update content, env vars reference, and deployment notes

What you receive

  • Live production site on your domain
  • .env.example and deployment documentation
  • 30-day post-launch support window for bug fixes (scope-dependent)

Optional ongoing support

Many clients continue with us for:

  • Content updates and new pages
  • Performance monitoring and SEO improvements
  • Feature additions and A/B testing
  • Monthly retainer for maintenance
